April already, March flew by without many chances to update. We have put up some more photos in the coming soon section and moved alot of stuff into our live catalogue. The elf captain set is progressing nicely and has moved into the live section. We're just missing photos of the bracers and helm. Other projects are moving forward too, Prototyping orc greaves and bracers at the moment, a larger size of traditional breastplate is also close to completion. More news next month.
New items added to the live catalogue include the Anti-paladin legs. Skull motif breastplate and the green lady shoulders. Coming soon has been updated with our current projects.
A happy new year to all our customers new and old. We have begun to make changes and have added a few things into the catalogue, including 2 new muscle breastplate options and the shields are back as decorative items. We are currently revisiting the Elven set and the Orc set. We are also aiming to offer a complete Gothic armour and Milanese armour. Please check back for more catalogue updates soon.
Wishing a Merry Christmas to all of our customers, from the team at Norton Armouries. Please check back early in the New year when we will be adding some exciting new products to our existing range. Jon and Stuart
Following the departure of Kevin due to health reasons. Jon would like to welcome Stuart Chambers as his new full time partner at Norton Armouries. Stuart has been a live-roleplayer for more years than any would care to count and has produced latex weaponry and leather armour for the LRP world under various banners. He has also served a number of years in various prop houses in London working on many of the same titles as Norton in its infancy.
All armour enquiries are no longer being dealt with by David Cubbage. Jon and Kevin will be dealing with your queries directly, including any exsisting orders, via mail@nortonarmouries.com.
After many years in the armour business, I have decided to hang up my hammers and retire from Norton Armouries to concentrate all my efforts into my film production company. I have sold the Poly armour making side of the company to Jon Peck and Kevin Gahan. They are very keen to continue producing film and LRP armour to the same high standards customers have come to expect from Norton Armouries. They have exciting plans to expand the business and take it to new levels. They will continue to run the business from the same workshops here at Eastnor under the banner of Norton Armouries. We are working very hard to maintain a smooth hand over so, customers who have placed orders will receive their armour within the 4 week delivery schedule published on the website. Please be assured that we are trying our best to deliver orders on time, however, there may be a short delay on some orders; this is due to the high volume of orders on the books and not to the change of ownership. Jon and Kevin will be attending the Gathering this year as the new owners of Norton Armouries. I am not sure, at this time of the details but we will be posting details here on the news board. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all my loyal customers who have supported me in the past and hope that you continue supporting Jon and Kevin as they take on this exciting challenge. Thank you all! David Cubbage PS Producing the armour for customers has been a team effort and I would like to take this opportunity in thanking four very special people who, amongst others, have helped me to make Norton Armouries into what it is today. As well as sharing the work load of production, Matthew Bayley, David Roper, Master M and Bernie Willoughby have produced a lot of the original armours you see on the website and the big screen; they are all excellent independant craftsmen in their own right. Matthew is now concentrating on making steel armour full time using the very same tools I used when I started making armour all those years ago. Therefore if any of you out there are in the market for good quality British made armour, then Matt's your man! Details can be obtained from Matt at mattblackarmour@aol.com David. |
